Q. Why do you recommend 5 visits a year?

Most proprietary branded fertiliser products suggest reapplication after five or six weeks, where as our feed lasts 2-3 months. Therefore when we visit regularly we ensure vital nutrients are being continually released into the lawn throughout the year. It is also important to remember that our treatments vary throughout the year, we do moss control in the autumn and weed control in the three intermediate visits.

Q. Do I need to water my lawn after your visit?

No. We use a granular feed with coating to release its nutrients slowly into your lawn, thereby eliminating the need to water. Applied correctly it will not scorch your lawn. But, in dry spells your lawn will benefit from being watered.

Q. When will I see my weeds start to die?

Following our weed treatment, the weeds in a LawnQuest lawn should start to curl and die after 7-12 days, although it may take up to 10 days to start to react. Our weed killers will control most common lawn weeds and are shower proof but, heavy rain within 12 hours of treatment, unusually warm dry weather or mowing immediately after treatment can reduce control. If you are concerned telephone us and we will call and check.

Q. Are you qualified to apply the products you use?

Many widely available weed killers are mild in nature to meet current legislation. The application of the herbicides used by LawnQuest staff requires training and certification to NPTC standards. We hold the current NPTC qualification.

Q. Will your service affect when I can cut my lawn?

LawnQuest ask you not to cut your lawn for 2 days prior to and after any of our weed treatments as this can reduce the efficiency of the products that we use and your weeds may not die back as well as you might expect. Otherwise, you are free to cut your lawn as normal.

Q. Is it safe for children and pets?

Our granular fertilisers are not considered hazardous products. These products are all certified for use on lawns, used by our NPTC qualified staff in strict compliance with labelled instructions. They do not represent a threat to your family or pets.

Q. Is there a contract to sign?

No. We do not ask you to sign a contract, its pay as you go. The program is for four treatments through the growing season, any additional applications` like Aeration and Scarification for example are optional even if we recommend them; all we ask is that when you settle one bill you inform us if you do wish to cancel.

Q. Do you have any kind of guarantee for your service?

Q. How much will it cost me?

As you might expect, our charges are based on the size of the lawns we care for. Our charges start from as little as £15 per visit.
